Diablo – Dura Ace.
The muscular form of the Diablo doesn't come at the expense of increased weight. This is the lightweight contender that blows away the heavyweights!
2010 Neil Pryde Diablo.
Combining the lightweight Diablo frame and forks with the race proven Shimano Dura Ace 7900 groupset, premium FSA SLK components, and the 2011 Ksyrium SL wheelset from Mavic means the complete bike weighs-in under the 6.8 kg minimum weight limit imposed by the UCI. The result: those epic mountain climbs are looking much less intimidating now.
The Diablo is intelligently built, with the Exoskeleton technology incorporated into the front triangle, forks, and chain stays enabling the precise balance of form and function. Extensive Finite Element Analysis of individual tube profiles, joint structures and transitions formed the basis of the muscular cross-sections and powerful silhouette.
Every single part serves one common purpose: ultimate riding performance.
The Diablo (along with the Alize) have been developed together with BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA. The bikes will be presented to the public for the first time during one of Europe´s biggest cycling races, the Vattenfall Cyclassics, taking place in Hamburg, Germany, from August 13-15, 2010.
