Here is a company with a great story, in a great city and with several great products, one of which happens to be bicycles.
Those of you how many have heard of this new start-up in Detroit might be familiar with their watches (who's initial limited edition offering is already sold out), their leather products or even their journals, but the can't seem to stop there and also make bikes.
Each Shinola bicycle undergoes a precise, custom-level assembly by experts in their Detroit workshop within the College for Creative Studies.
Shinola believes there's only one way to properly build a bicycle, and that's one at a time, by hand, with rigorous attention to detail and using only the highest quality components available. Their frame production is in Wisconsin and the assembly operations are in Detroit.
