Austro Daimler is the cycle mark dedicated to developing the ultimate in super performance racing bicycles.
This is more than a manufacturing policy, it is an engineering philosophy which has grown and matured over more than 75 years.
in 1899 the Osterreichische Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft was founded in Vienne, capital city od the Austro-Habsburg monarchy and focal point continental Europe.
Under the direction of Paul Daimler began the building of high performance luxury autos, the group's first products to carry the famous Austro Daimler marque of the golden bow and arrow. Many of Europe's glittering nobility were among the company's first customers.
in 1912, a brilliant young Austrian designer named Ferdinand Porsche joined the team at Austro Daimler as chief designer. This was the same engineering genius who later went on to create the Volkswagen Beetle and the Porsche spots car. Under Porsche's design leadership, Austro Daimler grew to international significance as a builder of high performance cars. in 1922, Porsche's Austro Daimler racing car Sascha won a sensational double victory in the grueling seven day Targa Florio. It was during this time that the young group developed the philosophy of dedication to engineering that has never varied.
